What is Pilates?

Pilates is a system of conditioning exercises that is very versatile.  The objective of a Pilates session or class is to connect your mind to your body and this can be a powerful thing!  You can increase and retrain muscle activation in your body that can create a profound change in the way your body looks, moves and feels.

Why should I do Pilates?

Everyone can benefit from Pilates.  As I mentioned before, it is a very versatile form of exercise for all ages.  The most popular reasons people do sessions with me are:
  • to increase muscle strength
  • to rehabilitate an injury
  • to increase metabolism and detoxify the body
  • to reverse and improve problematic postural/muscle activation patterns created from work or lifestyle
  • to improve body awareness, balance and agility
  • AND, most importantly, to feel good in your body!
